This week students will be introduced to our new unit 3 of Expository writing. We will have a gallery walk around the classroom to understand the different text sets that go with this type of writing and taking notes. Students will also complete a RACES strategy assessment to see where they are in accomplishing the short answer response questions. Students will also participate in a fun descriptive writing station to encourage the fun side of writing with a guessing game. At the end of the week, students will apply the descriptive writing lesson to a real life look at careers through Cobb county's new program Naviance.
