Tree #56: Shinko Asian Pear

Tree #56 was planted in 2010 along with trees 38 and 55, the other two Shinko Asian Pears. The Shinko Asian Pear (Pyrus Pyrifolia “Shinko”) ripens during the middle of October. The fruit has a golden brown skin, while the flesh is juicy, sweet, and crisp. This variety of Asian Pear is known for good pest resistance. In the spring it produces white flowers.
