Tree #21

Tree #21: Spartan Apple

Tree #21 was planted in 2013. As a Spartan apple it is easy to grow and produces an attractive crunchy and sweet apple most often eaten fresh but also used for baking. This sweet apple is a mix between the McIntosh and Newtown Pippin apples and was created in Canada in 1926. These apples are best left on the tree until they are until they are crimson all over, then harvested mid-October.
