Northern Spy Apple
Trees 60, 61 and 67 were planted as semi dwarf trees in 2013. They grew vigorously but never produced much fruit for unknown reasons, but possibly because they were our latest flowering tree. In spring of 2024 we cut them down to 2' high and cleft grafted on other varieties, Akane and an unknown but tasty variety we are calling the Lincoln Street yellow. The 2' of Northern Spy "interstem" could make these trees more vigorous than a normal semi-dwarf, or give them other properties.
