Tree #66 was planted in 2013. This kind of apple is known as one of the most popular dessert apples. The apple was developed by University of Minnesota in the 1960’s to be a fruit which reliably produces in cold climates. The apple has a smooth skin with a cream to light yellow sweet flesh. The Honeycrisp is a consistently large apple and usually ripens mid-September.
