Rosy Glow

Rosy Glow Apple

The three Rosy Glow Apples in the orchard all were infected with anthracnose, a very contagious fungal disease and were removed in 2015, and replaced with Honeycrisp in 2016. It is unknown whether they came from the nursery with the disease or contracted it here. Since all three had it, it was decided to not replace them Trees 7, 8 and 13 were Rosey Glow. Rosey Glow originates from Australia in the late 20th century and is a mix between Golden Delicious and Lady Williams apple. The Rosy Glow is known for being one of the most attractive types of apples with its fair and pink skin. The apple is most commonly eaten fresh and is usually harvested late September.
