Ginger biscuits

This biscuit is delicate in texture and flavour, perfect with a cup of tea.

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup treacle

1 dessert spoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 cup milk

2-3 cups plain flour

Method

Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Beat butter to a cream. Separately dissolve baking soda in milk.

Stir sugar, treacle, ground ginger and baking soda mix into creamed butter. Add enough plain flour to make a stiff dough

Roll out and cut into shape. Bake in moderate oven for about 15 minutes until golden.
