Elmer's old truck

Bertha's beau (and soon to be husband), Elmer worked as a timbergetter in the Swanfels area during the 1930s.

He drove the logging truck and Bertha says it was very rickety.

"Old truck... gawd, I don't think anyone else would have driven it," says Bertha.

"No hood, no windscreen.

"But he could cart logs on it, that was all he wanted it for."
