Roy 'Doc' Halladay and Roy Oswalt were inducted together into the A's Hall of Fame
On July 12th, 2014 during what turned out to be a victory over the Spokane Indians, the Philadelphia Athletics organization inducted the 6th and 7th members of their club Hall of Fame. During their careers here in Philly, pitchers Roy 'Doc' Halladay and Roy Oswalt became known collectively as "The Roy's", pitching as regulars in the rotation together every season from 2005-2008, culminating with the 2008 WFBL Championship team.
Halladay's current ranking on the franchise career lists: Wins - 1st (69), Strikeouts - 4th (674), Innings - 2nd (936). He holds the club single-season SP record with a 0.69 WHIP in 2005. Oswalt's ranking on the franchise career lists: Wins - 2nd (66), Strikeouts - 3rd (683), Innings - 3rd (868). He holds the club single-season SP record with 210 1/3 IP in 2005. Halladay was an Athletics rotation regular in 2002, and again from 2005-08, Oswalt 2004-08. Both were members of the 2008 WFBL Championship team. Halladay was a WFBL season All-Star Team selectee in 2006 & 2008, Oswalt in 2005.
The two join previous enshrinees Paul Molitor (founding), Mike Piazza (08), Jeff Kent (09), Carlos Delgado (10), and Billy Wagner (11) in being honored by the franchise.
