Engine Oil Cooler

Some models have it, some don't.

The lines that run from the filter adapter to the radiator are known to leak repeatedly, even with replacement, and can have disastrous results on an engine if one completely blows off.

You can easily remove the cooler/filter adapter and the lines. To do this you remove the oil filter, remove the threaded portion of the adapter, then remove the lines and the two torx holding the cooler/filter adapter.

Once that is removed, clean any remaining gasket material from the block, reattach the threaded adapter to the block, and the filter screws directly to the block now.

Someday I might add some pictures of this process, until then check out http://www.astrosafari.com/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=95458
