Engine Mounts

Replacing the engine mounts(aka motor mounts, but it doesn't mount a motor...) can be a pain in the tuchus, especially for AWD vans.

You have a few choices when it comes to replacing the rubber inserts. From 85 through 05, all of the engine mount inserts for the 4.3 are the same. That does not mean that the clamshell mount is the same for all, they are not.

Make sure that if you are replacing with rubber that you have fixed/repaired any oil/fluid leaks before replacing the mounts. As oil on the mounts can cause them to deteriorate prematurely.
