Zombicide Black Plague Runners

Introduction

After the necromancers I focused on the other more common miniatures; the runners and fatties. I decided the runners were my next group of zombies to paint.

I did limited base coat painting as I used Army Painter coloured primer. This primer is great and speeds up the painting process.
It was an aware choice to limit the amount of colours I would use on the runners. My goal was to make them stand out and improve gameplay by being able to find them fast. Now they are done, I realise It might be better if I used a bit more variation.
I wanted to finish them fast, which is why I painted the base grey. This grey colour does not really fit into the theme of the game. Unfortunately, partly due to the massive amount of miniatures in the game, I made the choice for "boring grey" multiple times.

The Black Plague Runners

As you can see below they look like they are all painted blue and brown and therefore almost the same. However, if you look closer you'll see each one is unique. I used several different blue tints and three different browns. In addition I used several wash colours for the skin and cloths.
