Monitor Audio Bronze 2 with or without Subwoofer

I bought the Monitor Audio Bronze 2 bookshelves, really beautiful speakers with good sound (according to many online professional reviews). I like them a lot. They go down to a nice 42 Hz according to their spec, and if I run a frequency sweep I can definitely hear them at that frequency. So, I wondered if these still profit from my CANTON 8.2 Subwoofer, which has a rather small 8" driver and I got it on sale, making it cheaper than the Monitor Audio Bronze 2 set (from now on called MAB2).

Measurement Graphs

My Conclusions

The Monitor Audio Bronze 2 set lacks in the lower bass frequencies (in my room).
The addition of the small subwoofer CANTON 8.2 definitely improves the reproduction of frequencies below 80Hz.
- The frequency production goes roughly 10Hz lower at the same dB.
- The room-mode dip at 60Hz is largely gone by letting the sub help. This might be caused by the added output by the subwoofer, but might also be due to subwoofer placement.
