This part of my website focuses on Audio related topics. Initially I had hardly any knowledge about audio and was listening to the typical all-in-one 5.1 homecinemaset like most of the world. On my PC I used a comparable setup, connected to my soundcard via toslink. For some reason I thought toslink was the best interface.

Some months before my audio interests started, I replaced those shitty speakers by a Jamo speaker set. Since I kept using the same receiver/DVD player/amplifier all-in-one that was part of the all-in-one homecinemaset, I hardly noticed any difference. It was when I purchased an AV Receiver when my eyes (ears) opened to the world of Audio. What a difference it makes if your speakers reproduce sounds down to 50Hz! (or lower) and I tried a HDMI connection for the first time...
