March 13, 2016 - Mallard Ducklings take to the Levisa River for the first time:
A total of 16 ducklings took their first swim - two were laggards and had to be helped over the curb of the pharmacy school parking lot in order to join the others. Hopefully they will make it though the next couple days of freezing weather.
A Mallard is sitting on about a dozen eggs in the center of the grass just below my office window. Click on each image for a larger version.
Mother Hen has covered herself with grass and is barely visible from straight down.
