MBA Fairs

Here are my memoirs, thoughts, takes on MBA Fairs, in general, and the NUS MBA Fairs, in particular.

QS Top MBA Fair at Manila Mandarin, Nov. 19, 2007:

We had a successful NUS MBA Booth at the

QS Top MBA Fair, 6-9pm, November 19, 2007!

Here are shots we took at the Lobby of Mandarin (that's Richard,

and also Melody who was Richard's classmate at the Ateneo):

MBA Fairs are a way for Business Schools to attract potential MBA candidates to apply to their school. Typically, these Fairs organize seminars/workshops on:

Admissions Process, School Rankings, Test-taking (GMAT, TOEFL, etc.), Application Tips, Program Content, Costs & Scholarships...

The QS Top MBA website reads:

Meet face-to-face with the MBA admissions officers and alumni of the world’s top business schools to help you make your Business School selection and to find out about MBA scholarships, MBA rankings, MBA Admissions, MBA Careers and much more.

The Tour provides an outstanding opportunity for candidates to research business schools and make informed education and career choices, whilst offering the business schools an ideal chance to meet a highly targeted audience of the world's best young professionals.

27 of the top 30 North American business schools and all the top schools from Europe and the rest of the world travel on the QS World MBA Tour.

Last year, 96% of attendees rated the QS World MBA Tour ‘very useful’ or ‘useful’.

Some Business Schools --like that of NUS, Asia's GLOBAL Business School-- organize their own, exclusive MBA Fair, e.g., the one that took place at the Manila Mandarin last 20 October 2007.

NUS MBA Fair in Tokyo, Nov. 2, 2007:
