SCHOOLS TO HOST

COMMUNITY BOOK FAIRS, OCT 8-12 & OCT 15-19

The Lincoln Center and Junior High/High School libraries will be hosting Scholastic Book Fairs this month to promote literacy and help raise funds for the purchase of new library books.

The Lincoln Center PTO will host their book fair October 8 – 12.  It will be open before and after school each day from 7:50 to 8:20 a.m. and 3 to 3:45 p.m.   The Lincoln book fair will also be open for Family Night on Tuesday, October 9 from 5-7 p.m.

The Junior High/High School book fair will be held October 15 – 19.  It will be open from 8 to 8:20 a.m. and 3:20 – 3:45 p.m. each day in the school library.  Then on Friday, October 19 from 5-8 p.m. the book fair will be relocated to a portion of the A-gym, accessible with entrance to the football game.

A wide range of books for young teens and adults will be featured at the book fairs, including mystery and adventure novels, fantasy trilogies, sports guides, manga, and the latest bestsellers from more than 150 publishers.  Parents, children, teachers, and the community are invited to attend.

Fair attendees can also help build classroom libraries by purchasing books for teachers through the Classroom Wish List program. If you are out of town or can't make it to the book fairs, you can also help support the schools by shopping online at http://bit.ly/Lfoct12.  The online book fair will be available October 3 – 23.

Grant Elementary will host its Scholastic Book Fair in November.
