Author Visits Elementaries on 3/26

Iowa author and coach Ryan Sloth will be visiting Grant and Lincoln Elementary Schools on Tuesday, March 26.  Sloth is the author of 4 books for children starring the character Sammy Sloth, who often "dreams big" in his books.  The books are entertaining with several kinds of animals as the characters, different featured sports, and great messages for kids -- emphasizing the virtures of persistence, believing in yourself, and paitence, among others. 

Coach Sloth has played football for the ISU Cyclones, coached the Iowa Barnstormers, and appeared in several football movies such as We Are Marshal, Leatherheads, and the most recent Batman and Spiderman. When he was a young boy, he did not really enjoy reading -- until he found the right books, that is!

Coach Sloth will be reading and talking to all students, K-6, in grade level presentations.  He will be presenting at Grant Tuesday morning and at Lincoln Tuesday afternoon.  Order forms for his books were sent home last week, with paperback books selling for $10 each.  Coach Sloth's books are also available in 3D versions for $10.  Those who return their money by the day of his visit will get to have their books signed by Coach Sloth!
