Don't use CAPS. In the email world, all caps means you are shouting.
Use Emoticons such as smiley faces :) to help them understand in only in personal emails
Use abbreviations or slang only in personal messages with those that understand what they mean
Don't send an email if you are emotional. Wait a bit to cool off then write it professionally.
Include a signature so those that receive it have your credentials
