Hi everyone! I am Rithika Reddy Kandala, for my personal project I worked on the topic "Upcycled Fashion." I've always followed my heart and it's gotten me this far. I'm highly intuitive and draw inspiration from the world around me. From a young age, I wanted a career in fashion, a dream that is half way through.
Since then, I've tried to get involved in a variety of projects relating to fashion, all of which have somehow become part of my ongoing creative journey. For me fashion means comfort and confidence. From watching fashion shows to sketching 2d designs I was passionate about Fashion. Besides, I am a nature lover; I find myself connected to it. I wanted to address these, with these two combinations I could only think about upcycled fashion. I felt that the fashion industry should now consider the environmental perspective.
My learning goal is to develop my creative skills by creating new 2D designs and later applying them to materials. My product goal is to create apparel from worn out materials (e.g. old curtains, bedsheet) at home at an affordable cost.
As a learner, every-time I have failed in the process, I have learnt something new. I have learnt to be balanced in terms of academics and self time. I faced the repercussions of procrastination, which was a heavy workload. From that I started to be organized by creating a timeline, study planners. Crucially, as student problem solving is important and will be helpful in the long run. I have gained it by trying to figure it out in my box every time I have faced obstacles. Lastly, the experience and learning would last forever and has prepared me for future challenges.
