When you first log in, you will see a selection of tiles, this is the Home page. You can return to it at any time by clicking on the Home icon on the left of the grey menu bar.

You will only be using some of the tiles from the Home page...
The pink calendar icon takes you to your Learning Plan, where you can see previous and forward-planned sessions such as your Reviews and Assessment visits. You can also see files attached to those sessions such as the Review record, and you can see any Targets that were set as Actions in each session.
The turquoise Timelog tile shows what percentage or total hours your current Off-The-Job training is at. If it falls below 20% or the total number of hours required to date you need to record more Off-The-Job training hours. Clicking the tile will open the Timelog menu where you can log new training entries.
Although your Targets normally sit in the Learning Plan underneath each session, you can see all of your outstanding Targets in one long list regardless of which session they belong to by clicking on the amber Actions & Activities tile. You can then close Targets when you have finished them.
The Wellbeing tile directs you to a list of useful links and resources including a link to this Apprentice Space hub.
Review and quickly sign any documents that require your electronic signature.
If your assessor has scheduled a Zoom session with you within Smart Assessor, this button will provide a direct link to the meeting when it is time to join.
If your assessor is using a different platform such as Microsoft Teams or Google Meet, you cannot use this button to join the meeting.
Click on your Profile Picture to navigate to the Profile menu where you can upload a new picture and change your Smart Assessor password.
You will not be using any of these other tiles.
From the Home page, you can click on one of the tabs next to the Overview tab to select the Portfolio menu for that specific course. Alternatively you can click Portfolio on the menu ribbon which will take you to the Portfolio menu for the last course you looked at. You will see a tab for your Apprenticeship Standard, SHAPE Passport, Gateway Milestones and any additional qualifications you are working towards. You can switch between them as each one has its own Portfolio menu.
The Gateway Milestones course has a slightly different menu
The progress widget shows how much progress you are making in the course based on how much of your work has been assessed. As you complete more work that is marked by your assessor you will see your orange bar represent your progress. The blue bar represents your chronological progress from the date you started your course to the date you expect to finish. The green bar represents units that are signed off and do not require any more work.
Clicking the turquoise Upload Work tile opens your evidence library where you will upload evidence into your e-portfolio.
The purple tile shows all of the units you are assigned to in each course. Click on any given unit to see work mapped to that unit, see your progress through that unit and sign it off when complete.

You can see any resources that have been attached to the course. This may be informative material to help you or may be forms and documents you will use as templates for your evidence.
The Progress Map is a gap analysis tool which shows all the gaps in the assessment criteria you are yet to meet with more evidence.
You will not be using these other tiles.

You can access the Learning Plan from the Home page (pink tile) or the Portfolio page (blue tile)
You can see historic sessions you have had such as your Induction and Review meetings. You may also see forward-planned sessions. The newest sessions are at the top.
Underneath each session you can see each course applicable to the session. At the right of each course, if the Action icon is red, there are outstanding Actions under that session/course. On the left is a chevron icon to expand the session/course to see any Targets and documents attached to it.
The Timelog is where you record all of your Off-The-Job training. You can see how many hours you have recorded verses how many you should have attained so far. You can access the Timelog by clicking on the Tile on the Home page or by clicking Timelog on the menu ribbon.
Change the first dropdown to Courses not set within an episode.
The panel on the right will show how many Off-The-Job hours you require for your time on programme so far, compared with how many hours you have recorded. In the middle you have the option to Add New Timelog Entry.
At the foot of the page you can see your historic entries.
From the Home page, click Actions & Activities to view all outstanding targets. You can edit each Action to close them when complete.
The evidence library is where you upload all of your evidence and map to the appropriate units and assessment criteria. You can open the evidence library by clicking Upload Work from the portfolio menu. Make sure you choose the correct course first.
There is a dropdown menu to select the correct course. You can upload work in the top half of the screen, and the bottom half of the screen is where you can see your uploaded work and map it to the appropraite units and criteria.
You can browse a particular unit to see which evidence maps to it and how complete the unit is. Once the unit is complete you can sign it off with your electronic signature. You can open any Unit's evidence record sheet by clicking on it from the purple Units tile on the portfolio menu. Remember that each course has its own collection of units.
