Music

Year 9 Music introduces learners to a variety of musical skills. Learners learn the basics of songwriting, performance techniques, and explore playing a variety of instruments, focusing on guitar, keyboard, and voice. These skills are then applied by working collaboratively to write and perform an original song. The use of music in film is studied and original movie soundtracks are created using technology. Different genres of music are investigated through research and listening.
