Health Education

Year 9 Health Education introduces learners to a skills based programme, aimed to develop individual confidence and competence in maintaining their well-being. Learners are encouraged to think critically about outside influences on their own health, and also how their actions influence others

Course Focus 

• personal definitions of health

• sexuality education and relationships focussing on making safe and responsible choices based on individual values and beliefs

• nutritional guidelines and meeting dietary needs

• community health services and establishing a network for help
