French
Year 10 - Semester Option (this is a full year course that runs over semesters 1 and 2)
In Year 10 you can choose to study Te Reo, French or Spanish, or two languages. The demand for speakers of Te Reo in the workplace is increasing, and French and Spanish are languages that are widely spoken around the world.
The aim of the Year 10 French course is to enable the learners to communicate in real-life situations and to equip them for travelling to a French speaking country. Language classes are interactive, providing plenty of opportunities for learners to practise and improve their skills. The learners are exposed to a wide range of different learning activities including digital learning, group learning and independent learning.
There is the opportunity to extend their knowledge of both culture and language through working at their own pace on Languages Badges.
