Technology
Year 8
Technology at Year 8 provides learners with the opportunity to design, test and develop their own technological outcomes in a range of contexts, including digital technologies, materials technology, design and visual communication, and food technology. These contexts are combined to make a valuable, exciting and in-depth learning experience.
Across the contexts, learners will develop transferable skills, such as research, problem solving, technical skills, and computational thinking. This module leads into Year 9 Technology where technological and design knowledge is developed to a higher level.
