Visual Art

Year 9 Visual Art introduces learners to the conventions of drawing, painting and digital technologies and how to use these media to create artwork with confidence. Junior Art is centred around exploration and experimentation, where learners are encouraged to immerse themselves in the creative process as they develop and refine their skills and understanding.

• drawing, painting, digital skills, application and techniques

• colour theory and practice

• looking at artists' works to identify art conventions to create individual drawing and multi-media artwork

• picture making and art developmental skills
