Design and Visual Communication

In Design and Visual Communication, students learn to apply design thinking.

Course focus

• develop skills to create concepts and develop design ideas in response to a brief, through using sketching and digital media tools to effectively communicate and present design ideas.
• look at design principles relating to aesthetics, function and sustainability.

DVC gives students a foundation of design skills that are applicable in a wide range of pathways such as product, interior, landscape, graphic and industrial design as well as engineering and architecture.
