Fieldwork Trip - Dartford
During Module 1, Year 11 Geography students embarked on a purposeful field trip to Dartford to carry out fieldwork on urbanisation in the local area. This trip provided an opportunity for students to collect primary data, observe urban characteristics, and analyse the impacts of urban development on the community. By engaging in practical research, pupils were able to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world settings, enhancing their understanding of urbanisation processes and their effects on local environments and societies.

KS4 Religious Education Trip -
Holocaust Exhibition at the IWM
In February 2025, KS4 pupils will visit the Holocaust Exhibition at the Imperial War Museum. This powerful experience will explore the Holocaust through artefacts, survivor testimonies, and historical accounts, encouraging reflection on human rights, prejudice, and morality, while deepening their understanding of key themes in Religious Education.

Year 7 explored how human geography and famous UK landmarks influence where people live. Students completed research tasks on key landmarks and their role in shaping communities. Year 8 investigated what development means, focusing on global inequalities, sustainability, and quality of life. Year 9 studied how ice transforms landscapes and connects to climate change.

Year 7 explored the events of 1066 and the Normanisation of England, examining how William the Conqueror changed the country’s culture and governance. Year 8 investigated the Industrial Revolution, focusing on its innovations, societal changes, and impact on daily life. Year 9 studied the causes of the First World War and how propaganda was used to influence public opinion and rally support.
