We have had a wonderful start to the academic year in Seacole College and our students have set a very high bar for the remaining four modules! In Module one, Seacole College finished first in both the number of reward points accumulated, and the number of literacy points accumulated. It was lovely to be able to announce that in one of our rewards assemblies, and the pride Seacole students had when celebrating this news was a joy to behold. The challenge for us now is to stay on top so hopefully the rewards keep coming!
The students with the highest reward points in Module one were:
Year 7: Praneeth Year 10: Priyaa
Year 8: Henry Year 11: Oliwia
Year 9: Dara
Well done to the five of you and I hope you are all targeting another win again in the Module two rewards assembly.
On Friday 22nd November, the ten highest achieving Seacole students in terms of reward points in each year group w planned an unforgettable trip to the heart of British history and culture: London. This exclusive reward trip not only celebrated your success but also provided an enriching cultural experience.
The lucky students were taken on a guided tour from The Mary Seacole statue at St Thomas' hospital, down to Trafalgar Square, past Downing Street, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Their day ended with a festive finale at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland where they experienced the magic of Christmas in London with festive lights and thrilling rides.
This exclusive trip was a testament to your hard work and dedication. We hope you enjoyed every moment of this well-deserved reward.
I would also like to add a big 'well done' to all Year 11 Seacole students who have completed their mock exams this module. Friday 17th January will be an exciting day when they get their mock exam results and the final run-in to the summer 2025 GCSEs begins!
