As we engaged in our strategic planning process we wanted to find a creative was for our students to add their voices to how they envision learning at Brandeis growing and changing.

We got our lower school students involved by sharing a story, If I Built A School by Chris Van Dusen. Then we asked students to imagine what their school might be like in the year 2054. Then they were given the following prompt to consider.

Then each student was given a paper backpack template and access to a variety of maker materials to "pack" their backpack for a Brandeis student in 2025.

Then these were displayed during a community event and parents were given the opportunity to respond with this prompt.
