Part 2 - Measure, Fold, & Tape

We're ready to begin making our kaleidoscope! We want to start by making the body.

For our kaleidoscopes to work we need a triangular prism with 3 equal sides. This means we need to measure! We want each section to be 1 1/2 inches.

Lay your mirrored paper in front of you. It should me mirrored side down and standing up the tall way.

Place the 0 on the edge of the paper and near the the top. Mark above the 1 1/2", 3", qnd 4 1/2" lines.

Then flip the paper the long way.

Use the ruler to connect the top and bottom marks so you get nice, straight lines.

It should look like this.

Now we need to score the lines. To score a line is to trace the line with something sharp. You want to make a crisp dent in the paper but not cut all the way through.
