4th grade is the year we put everything together. Student will create projects that combine all the maker elements constuction, motion, light, and sound. These projects tend to be more complex and take longer to complete.
Students will shift their focus to the study of sound. We'll look at how sounds are made, understand terms like vibration and soundwaves, and review simple machines. Then we will design and construct our music machines.
We'll look over all our design specs.
And then we'll do some sketching.
Then we'll make our materials list and start building.
Major Project - Students will design and build a tabletop putt-putt course based of stories of Torah.
Each course hole must have:
a playable course
a motion element
a light element
decorative elements to enhance depict their Torah story
par for their hole must be calculated and data shown
Below is a PDF for the assignment sheet and par calculation worksheet.
