Site Observation

The site in Bimbisar Nagar has transit camp buildings all around which show various peculiarities in terms of space. The community living here uses space from compound walls to backyard, nothing left barren and unused. The common ground in the middle of transit buildings surrounded to it is used for cultural events and gets occupied by daily activities of the residents. The periphery o this ground is not just a footpath but a space which holds many transactions and acts as a soft threshold between the ground and the road edge.

Conceptual Development
Taking the idea of thresholds further, I tried to test how can commons be formed by placing the programmes around and giving maximum portion of the ground back to the community.
