Wall as Interspecies Collaboration

Site Observation: The fluctuation of the height of the compound wall changes its affordances. The compund wall and footpath which is occupied by the people changes the configuration of that space and shows how people and animals engage with it and surrounding landscape could be used as infrastructure. The ridges in the wall act as boundary and divides spaceamong various vendors.

Design Intent: How can animals effectively inhabit shared spaces with humans and how does this integration influence the architectural design of these spaces? What specific types of animals are known to co-exist peacefully with humans in our everyday lives? How can hard edge be inhabitated by various species? Finally how does the designed architecture interact and respond to the surrounding structural and narural landscape?


Spatial Intent: The wall"s Surface offers numerous opportunities and supports varoius activities and species. There is fluctuation in the height of the structures which alters the affordances of that space . Hollowed-out spaces within the wallcreates livable areas for resting or sitting which relates to the presence of people and animals on the wall and footpath highlighting interactions and co-existence among them in shared space.
