Play of Interfolds of Elements

Observation:

Nalla separating the 2 buildings but the walls acting as promenades for interactions

Affordances on the edge of the compound wall
The top of the compound wall acts like shelves for the different shops set up by the people
Also creating an invisible territory for their respective spaces

Space in front of convenience stores occupied by other businesses harmoniously

Multiple Shops being set up on the edges of the compound walls
A public Vachnalay along the road

Inanimate objects & broken down pieces of infrastructures placed in a silly way aside a wall for sitting purposes (Functional or Non- Functional)

Space created by the shade of trees often occupied by the elderly
Resting, Sitting or gossiping around the park during the afternoons

Design Question:

How can we include the folds and interplay of architectural elements within a structure and the push and pull of elements to generate pockets of social spaces?

Spatial Intent:

The concept of folds made by different elements creating an interplay of spaces. Push and Pull of various levels and heights within these folds generates pockets of spaces. Sloping roof to the south and skylights on the north with the folds created make an interesting play of light
