First Weeks: Logging In + Online Safety + Mouse Practice (Click HERE)
Digital Citizenship/Digital Etiquette/Online Safety: KG | Grades 1-2
Online Safety Pledge (Sign the pledge)
Typing Club: Typing Test (1) + Typing Per Grade
Bloom's Taxonomy (Aiming for higher order thinking skills in everything > Objective = Creating and innovating, not just Applying)
Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs: Safety First (to be able to reach "Self-Actualization" and our ultimate objective: "Transcendence" > Helping Others)
Canva: About Me Poster (to hang in the computer lab)

Participation & Class Rules
Typing Club: Typing Test (2) + Typing Per Grade
+ Grades 1-2:
Google Docs (font, font size, indent, double space...)
Project-Based Learning: Canva, Webpage Design: All About Me Project: Booklet in Canva (Check Schoology for assignment and rubric) + Website based on the booklet.
Webpage essentials: username protocols, text formatting, and basic HTML for special effects.
Integration of technology in webpage design such as animations and professional layouts.
Your website username needs to be formed of your graduation year (last 2 digits) + your first name (no last names allowed). For example: 24john
All words in titles (except prepositions and articles that have more than four letters) need to be capitalized
All titles on the homepage need to be aligned
Your website needs to include at least the following:

Pages & Sub-Pages:
A Home page (it should include your logo [it needs to be clear and effective], a favicon, a welcoming message and/or video, and any items that make it look professional and attractive)
An About Me page (it should include information about yourself--who you are, your Family, your Friends, your School)
A Technology page in which you explain how you did the 2 special effects and how you made your website look more professional
Include an appropriate and professional avatar of yourself created on Canva, using Reimagine.
Optional: make a video of it welcoming people to your website. You can use HeyGen AI Avatars in Canva (free credit for only one video) or Voki.com.

Introduction to Digital Citizenship/Etiquette tailored for Grades 1-2.
Online Safety Pledge through Schoology (T.2.2.D: Online safety guidelines).
Incorporation of Bloom's Taxonomy and Maslow’s Hierarchy for developing higher-order thinking skills and ensuring online safety.
Ethical and Legal Issues
Understand and follow acceptable use policy (T.2.2.B.1).
Discussion on protecting personal information and proper online behavior (T.2.2.D.1 and T.2.2.D.2).
Second Trimester:
Focus: Practical Application of Technology Skills
Typing and Application Use
Continuation of Typing Club: Typing Test (2) + Typing Per Grade.
Practical lessons on application software usage and navigation (T.2.1.B).
Project-Based Learning
Use Canva for 'All About Me' Booklet and basics of webpage design (T.2.4.A: Multimedia and Idea Presentation).
Introduction to basic HTML for webpage special effects and layouts
Continued emphasis on online etiquette and safety (aligning with T.2.2.C on copyright issues and avoiding plagiarism).
Tinkercad 3D Design
Start exploring Tinkercad for 3D design projects, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills (T.2.4.B: Use of technology tools to learn new content).
Third Trimester:
Focus: Advanced Technology Skills and Capstone Projects
Comprehensive Technology Application
Final Typing Club: Typing Test (3) + Typing Per Grade.
Advanced webpage design, incorporating interactive elements and sophisticated layouts (T.2.4.A: Editing and revising digital content).
Introduction and exploration of Coding with HTML and Scratch, enhancing computational thinking
(T.2.3.A: Use technology for research).
Integration and Collaboration
Advanced projects using Tinkercad and possibly Doodle 3D, focusing on solving real-world problems (T.2.5.A: Productivity and problem-solving).
Collaboration on class-wide technology projects, using technology tools to collect, display, and interpret data (T.2.7.A: Enhancing collaboration with technology).
Reflection and Assessment
Reflect on the appropriateness of selected technology for tasks and the impact of technology on individual learning experiences (T.2.4.B).
By structuring the curriculum across these three trimesters, we ensure a comprehensive development from basic to advanced technology skills while embedding necessary legal, ethical, and societal aspects throughout the learning journey. This structure not only aligns with the monitoring standards but also prepares students to be competent and ethical digital citizens.
