Today, you’ll learn how to say hello, introduce yourself, and ask someone’s name in French. Complete each section step-by-step. Practice speaking aloud and have fun!
Part 1: Learn Key Phrases
Let’s start with the basics! These are the French words and phrases you’ll need to introduce yourself. Read them aloud and try saying them to a friend.
1. **Bonjour** = Hello (use this in the morning or anytime!)
2. **Salut** = Hi (a casual greeting for friends)
3. **Je m’appelle……………………….…** = My name is… (fill in your name!)
4. **Comment vous appelez-vous ?** = What’s your name? (polite, for teachers or adults)
5. **Comment t’appelles-tu ?** = What’s your name? (informal, for friends or classmates)
6. **Au revoir** = Goodbye (say this when you leave)
7. **Enchanté / Enchantée** = Nice to meet you (boys say “Enchanté,” girls say “Enchantée”)
