Welcome!
I'm so excited to be your teacher!
Together, we're going to work hard and have a lot of fun doing it.
We'll brainstorm, practice, apply, analyze, evaluate, and most importantly, CREATE!
From learning how to be good digital citizens and staying safe online, to mastering typing and exploring creative tools like Canva and Tinkercad, there's something exciting for everyone. We’ll dive into web design, develop your coding skills with HTML and Scratch, and even explore AI. You’ll also become proficient in using Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Forms to organize information, create surveys and charts, and analyze data. You'll build personalized projects that let you express who you are while gaining valuable skills for the future.
Here's the foundation of our learning journey together:
Bloom’s Taxonomy helps us focus on higher-order thinking skills, which means thinking in complex, creative, and innovative ways. It guides our approach to developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It structures our lessons to move from basic understanding to advanced creation, ensuring that our tech activities are not just fun, but also intellectually stimulating.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs teaches us about staying safe online, which is super important for learning and growing. It underscores the importance of a safe and supportive classroom environment. By addressing each level of your needs, from safety to self-esteem, we create a space that empowers you to take on more challenging tech projects with confidence.
Emotional Intelligence is all about understanding our own feelings and those of others, motivating ourselves to study well, working well together, and thinking win/win. This helps us succeed now and in the future. It is woven into our daily interactions and learning processes. Understanding and managing our emotions enhances teamwork, fuels motivation, and sharpens our focus on innovative solutions in technology.
I can't wait to see what amazing things we'll achieve together this academic year!
May Your Guardian Angel Always Guide and Guard You!
Sincerely,
Nada M. Salem
