Pope Francis says:
During Lent, it is not enough to abstain from eating candy, meat, or any other food item we like; we should also do good deeds.
The sacrifice is not only in the stomach, but also in the heart.
Here are 15 good deeds:
1. Say hi with a smile (always and everywhere).
2. Show your gratitude (even if you're not "supposed" to).
3. Remind others how much you love them.
4. Say warm greetings to the people you see every day.
5. Listen lovingly to another's story without bias.
6. Stop and lend a helping hand; pay attention to who needs you.
7. Uplift those who need it.
8. Celebrate the benefits or success of another.
9. Identify what you are not using and give to those who need it.
10. Help when needed.
11. Be faithful with love; do not keep silent due to fear.
12. Pay attention to the good details with those close to you.
13. Clean up what you have used in the house.
14. Help others overcome obstacles.
15. Call your parents, if you are lucky to have them still alive.
