Did you know that being smart is just a small part of being successful? Daniel Goleman, a smart thinker, says that being successful isn't just about having a high IQ, or how smart you are. It's also about something called Emotional Intelligence, or EQ, which is all about understanding your own feelings and the feelings of others, thinking win/win (Stephen Covey), in addition to motivating yourself to do well and succeed. Unlike IQ, which doesn't change much, you can get better at EQ!

I want to help you succeed, not just in school, but in life too. That's why in our technology classes, we're not only going to learn about computers and coding, but also about Emotional Intelligence, or EQ. Plus, we’ll focus on self-motivation, a big part of EQ that can really help us achieve our goals. By boosting these skills, we'll become better friends, top-notch students, and great team players.
