Linear Perspective

Interior of Room: The subject of my drawing is the inside of an imaginary room. To make this drawing I used a 2H pencil and a ruler to measure out my lines and make sure they all connect to the vanishing point. I also used my laptop as a resource to look up how to draw linear perspective of a couch because I wasn't sure how to do that. When my lines looked straight and even I went over them in a darker 2B pencil. I decided to create the inside of a room instead of buildings on a street because I thought it would be fun and interesting to create and design my own room. I used lines, balance, and form in my drawing to make it look visually correct in terms of spacing and size. The meaning behind this artwork is that it is a simple living room that could be seen in real life. It relates to my life because I based it on my own living room and took pieces of my home and put it in my picture such as the low coffee table and windows behind the couch. Something I wish I did better is I wish my residing lights looked more realistic. I wasn't sure how to draw them or where they would fit into my picture.

School hallway: The subject of this drawing is the hallway outside the art rooms. To make this drawing I used a 2H pencil and a ruler and protractor to measure out my lines and make sure they all connect to the vanishing point. When my lines were finished I went over them with a fine point marker to darken them. I decided to draw this because I liked this side of the hallway better than the other one because it has the painting at the end of it. I used lines, balance, and form in my drawing to make it look visually correct and realistic to the hallways in the school. The meaning behind my artwork is that this is a visual representation of my school hallway. It relates to my life because I go to school and see this hallway everyday and now I will always see the lines and how everything connects. To make my artwork better I would've made sure the sharpie lines didn't get wiggly or get messed up.
