Extended Blind Contour Drawing

In this drawing we had to draw our hand in two different positions, a self portrait, and a portrait of someone else without looking at the paper and without picking up the pen. I enjoyed this drawing because it came out looking cool and abstract. I added more abstract shapes to give the picture balance and harmony. Then I added color. I decided to do the background all purple to make the main shapes stand out more. Then I used contrasting, bright colors that stand out against the purple. I also used purple pastel in the swirls because I read that pastel is water resistance so I thought that would be cool to try. Next time I'll remember to blend the pastel out.
