Gelatin Prints

To make my gelatin prints I had to get help from classmates because I was absent the day it was explained and when I came back there was a sub. Evan explained to me how to use the gelatin, scraps of things, and the ink to create patterns. I rolled ink onto the gelatin, put my scraps of items in a certain way on top of the ink and pressed a piece of paper onto it. I did this three times, each time the patterns looked different on the paper. Then I made three more patterns using things like feathers, string, bubble wrap, and netting. I chose to use these patterns because I thought they would look interesting. My project evolved each time I made a new pattern because I learned from my previous ones what looks good and what doesn't. The meaning behind my patterns is something about the sea because it reminds me of the ocean. It related to my life because I love the sea.
