"BODY LANGUAGE" Mikayla Poirier, GRADE 12

My sustained investigation is about body language. I wanted to explore the way people say things without using words. Piece 1 is about friendship and being happy. Piece 2 is about how the direction of the eyes tell something different. Piece 3 is about all of the different emotions and how someone acts when they feel them. Piece 4 is about being trapped and wanting to get out. Piece 5 is a redo of the idea in piece 4. Piece 6 is about the natural curve of the body. Piece 7 is about the difference how girls and boys sit. I took inspiration from the term "man-spread". Piece 8 is about how my father suffers from anxiety and one of his responses is to play with his hands to calm down. Piece 9 is about disapproval with oneself. The model is crossing her arms with her head down to hide herself. Piece 10 is about confrontation and arguing. By placing the arms on the table it creates tension between the two models.
