AP STUDIO ART:

2D Portfolio

AP 2-D Art and Design is equivalent to a college course in 2-D Art and Design. Students in this course investigate the materials, processes, and ideas that artists and designers use. They practice, experiment, and revise as they create their own artwork. They communicate ideas about works of art and design. At the end of the school year, the students submit a portfolio of artwork for evaluation. The portfolio has a two-section structure, which requires the students to show a fundamental competence and range of understanding in visual concerns and methods. Each section contributes to the final portfolio score, which is on a 5-point scale. And subject, content, style, media, and technique are acceptable. Below you will find each students artwork--both their sustained investigation and their quality selected pieces from their AP Studio Art class with Mrs. Lengyel.
