A receipt voucher is a document used to acknowledge the receipt of money or payment by an organization or individual. It records details such as the amount received, the date, the payer’s information, and the purpose of the payment. Receipt vouchers help maintain accurate financial records and provide proof of transactions for both parties involved.
Go to the side menu and click 8. Accounting.
Click 8.1 Journal Entry Processing
Select 8.1.4 Receipt Voucher
Once you are already in the Receipt Voucher module
Click Browse AR.
Select the Book Set.
Choose the ARV transaction(s) by ticking the checkbox.
Click Confirm.
Verify the transactions.
Click Confirm to proceed with the payment voucher transaction.
Review the populated details and accounting entries.
Make any necessary modifications.
Click Save.
The prepared entry will be marked as For Verification.
Once you are already in the Receipt Voucher module, click the New Record button in the top toolbar to start a new entry.
Fill in the description and select the supplier, project, payment type and bank.
Fill in the necessary remaining details, including the reference number.
Choose the transaction book
Once selected, the entry form for the value will be displayed.
Type in the transaction amount, then hit Enter.
Review the transaction details.
Click Save to finalize the entry.
