Each week, teachers identify a student as the WOW student of the week. These students are highlighted for going above and beyond in some area. Teachers share the reason with the class. Each student gets a certificate, a coupon for a free donut from Donut Chain and has their picture shared in the flyer.
Note: If your student has dietary preferences that conflict with donuts, let me know and we have some alternatives.
Let's hear it for ...
Joseph Hwang (Ortlieb), Evie Cloutier (Lawrence), Isla Phillips (Wong), Leilani Saucedo (Hoffman), Cole Curtis (Leonard), Ellie Lu Elliott (Blankenship), Cayden Jeong (Ramos/Wightman), Jesse Arredondo (Garcia), Mateo Rodriguez (Fano), Matthew Burchell (Kiblinger), Nico Tuchscher (Hanna), Noah Luna (Gill), Cora Kasper (Seitz), Avery Whang (Marasco), Daniel Miller (Amaya), Dean Kim (Pipkin), Renny Tian (Simmons/Cruz - 5th), Devin Behan (Cruz/Simmons - 6th)
Thank you for sending extra care to our and love to our teachers this week! We loved the chalk decorations in the parking lot, the popcorn bar from PTA, the Wednesday luncheon from PTA, the lovely notes and gifts that came through the week, and the extra appreciation!
State testing is starting THIS WEEK for our 3rd-6th grade students. No test can ever measure all of the important things about a child, but these tests do help us monitor progress for our students and school. Please encourage your child to do their very best!
Please help your child do their best by:
Get a good night's sleep
Pump them up in the morning. Remind them to do their best.
Make sure they get a good, healthy breakfast
Help them get to school on time, ready to face the day!
We are doing great on the Kids Heart Challenge with American Heart Association! We've been challenged to get 215 of our students to sign up for the kids heart challenge with American Heart Association. Students can learn hands only CPR and the signs of a stroke and, if families choose, support the American Heart Association.

Wagner rocks! We especially rocked on Friday! Student acts wowed us with dancing, singing, break dancing, tumbling, and piano. Student band 2nd Chapter opened the show and our very own Mr. Blankenship and Mr. Hanna played a set for the crown. It was a great night!
Local heroes came to visit Wagner! Fire station NUMBER came to visit our youngest learners. Students learned about what firefighters do, how to stay safe, and got to explore helpful tools our community helpers use.
It's that time of year! TK is counting down the backwards alphabet to send them off into summer! This week had Z day, Y day, and X day. Students wore zippers, yellow, and Xtra fun!
Kinder explored the world of worms on Friday! Real worms, words made with words, moving like worms and more!
2nd graders read about oragami, annotated the text, and then explored by making their own origami!
How do bees pollinate different plants? The 3rd graders found out and tried it out for themselves!
Students worked together to learn about the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl and how it impacted our state.
6th graders have been participating in a classroom economy all year long. They just had their last business day!
