Have you read the latest headlines about the influence technology is having on global events? It is non-stop and will likely continue with so many innovations becoming newsworthy as event planners try to create unique experiences for participants and attendees. The range of topics includes everything from virtual meetings to Artificial Intelligence (AI) use for a variety of purposes, so if you want to know more about what is trending there are some excellent articles to check out.
First, take a look at the recent acquisition by the global event leader, Cvent, and how they will use their newly acquired technology to support smaller meetings and events.
The next article which is titled Using AI to Simplify Business-Event Tasks, presents an interesting concept of how to use AI to create a menu of items that will help to design a more efficient approach to various responsibilities that event planners undertake in the course of planning and managing their activities. While the article is a year old, the use of Spark AI has continued to rapidly advance and planners are adapting it for their operations, so check this one out.
One more trend in technology is how destinations are creating videos to market themselves. Here is one such technology marketing tool titled Why Louisville Was the Perfect Destination for This Convention and takes less than 3 minutes to watch. It shows how one association decided on the location for their annual event based on their diverse offerings.
Now consider what hotels are doing to ensure they have the latest technology available for their staff and guests. Many businesses have faced staffing shortages in recent years and found that technology picks up some of those important tasks that have been neglected and builds more efficiencies which significantly improves customer satisfaction. Check out this article Smart Hotels, Happy Guests: The Future of Hospitality Lies in Connectivity to learn more about how this transformation is taking place.
And finally, consider what is happening in the food and beverage industry and how they are using technology. There is a fascinating article titled Rise Of Robotics In The Food Industry: Pros, Cons, And Application which focuses on the use of robots and how it is changing everything from agriculture to kitchen preparation.
