VIRTUAL Business in South Africa!
Purdue Global Education Abroad would like to invite YOU to join the next virtual experience to South Africa in July 2023! You can take this virtual voyage from the comfort of your own home or office to learn about doing business in one of Africa’s key cultural and economic hubs. You’ll visit a township to meet local entrepreneurs, participate in conversations with South African business owners, and interact with business students attending one of the top universities in the region. You’ll even have the chance to go on a virtual safari!
REGISTRATION
Official registration is now open, so if you’re ready to sign up for Business in South Africa, apply for a space on this VIRTUAL experience before the deadline of March 8, 2023. Upon receipt of application, Education Abroad staff will be in touch to verify eligibility.
COURSES
There are several ways to participate, depending on your degree plan:
Undergraduate students on C-track may enroll in BU429: Exploring Global Competence (2303C), a 5-credit hour Education Abroad elective.
MBA students may enroll in GB602: MBA Capstone-Global Option (2304E), a globally-focused alternative to the traditional MBA capstone course (GB601).
Alumni and other Non Degree Seeking (NDS) students may join the trip by registering for GB529: Building Global Competence (2304E), a 1-credit hour Education Abroad elective.
Graduate students outside of SBIT may enroll in GB529 if they meet all eligibility requirements and are enrolled in an E track degree program.
Upon successful completion of all course requirements, all participants are also eligible to receive the AFS Global Competence Certificate and the Global Scholar micro-credential.
COST
There is an additional fee for the course beyond course tuition. Course fees associated with the experience may be eligible for financial aid, depending on a student’s individual aid package and degree plan.
ELIGIBILITY
For participation in an Education Abroad experience, applicants must have space for the course in their degree plan, be in good academic and financial standing, have completed three terms (grad) or six terms (undergrad) at PG, and be on an eligible C-track (undergrad) or E-track (grad) program. All interested participants are encouraged to apply, but please note that space is limited on each experience.
