Why you should MEMORIZE THE WORD
This chapter could be under ‘Seek God’s Voice’ because this chapter is about memorizing the Word. but it is so much more powerful that hiding God’s Word in our Hearts, that we might not sin against Thee.”
Memorization of God’s Word is a spiritual weapon. An extremely powerful weapon. Our only weapon. Things might have turned out different for Eve if she knew the Word was a weapon.
In the Garden of Eden, the devil promised Adam and Eve that if they ate from the Tree of Knowledge, they would be like gods: discerning the difference between good and evil. Of course the devil was deceiving Adam and Eve by not telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
If there had been a Word from God that Eve or Adam given to them before the devil tempted them, they could have recalled that Word, and avoided the sin.
You must know the Word of God “by heart” so that in the moment you hear something and don't know if the Word is from God or from the devil, you can "test the spirit" before making a mistake and sinning against God.
